Moving to a new country means navigating systems, laws, and social norms that can feel unfamiliar — sometimes with real consequences if misunderstood. AFRIT offers confidential, one-on-one support to help African immigrants in Italy face these challenges with clarity and confidence, backed by people who genuinely want to see them succeed.
What we offer
- Cross-cultural mediation — one-on-one guidance for challenges that arise from sociocultural differences between African and Italian norms and expectations.
- Mentorship — direct access to successful professionals living and working in Italy who are personally invested in helping others succeed.
- Bureaucratic support — practical help understanding and navigating the Italian administrative system.
- Private counseling — confidential guidance to help you understand your rights and obligations, and avoid legal consequences that often arise simply from not knowing the rules.

Schedule
On demand — support is arranged around what you need, not a fixed timetable.
Cost
€50 per year (Carta Soci / membership card). This membership gives you access not only to mediation, counseling, and mentorship, but to every other service AFRIT offers.

Volunteer as a Group
Volunteer as an Individual
AFRIT will review your application and inform you if there is a project that matches your skills, interests, and availability.
- Register as a volunteer by completing the AFRIT Volunteer Application.
- Submit your application along with a scanned copy of your photo ID to https://africanreformers.org.
- A volunteer administrator at https://africanreformers.org will verify your identity and register you in our volunteer database. You will then be provided with a letter enabling you to obtain a police information check from https://africanreformers.org.
